Thammasat Business School co-hosted an international conference with Cornell University’s Global Labor Institute entitled “Hot Air: What Works to Combat Extreme Heat in Apparel Production in Asia?” The conference addressed a critical challenge, emphasizing that extreme heat is no longer a distant or abstract risk but a daily reality affecting workers’ health and productivity, supply chains, and the long-term sustainability of industries across South and Southeast Asia.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suntichai Kotcharin, Associate Dean for Research; Asst. Prof. Dr. Noptanit Chotisarn, Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Digitalization; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kevalin Setthakorn, Assistant Dean for Global Engagement; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaturong Napathorn, Full-time Faculty Member, Department of Organization, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management, extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guest speakers and approximately 70 participants from various countries. The conference brought together worker leaders, manufacturers, brands, policymakers, and researchers to examine practical responses to extreme heat in apparel production.
In conclusion, the conference provided a valuable platform for cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange, reinforcing Thammasat Business School’s commitment to ESG principles, global engagement, and impactful research addressing real-world challenges in the region.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, together with Dr. Narong Kongpiwatana, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at Thammasat Business School (TBS), warmly welcomed Ms. Alicia Foo from Cambridge University Press & Assessment to discuss potential collaboration.
The discussion focused on admission processes and the recognition of secondary-level qualifications for international applicants through the TCAS system, as well as Cambridge’s assessment tools and support systems used in evaluating international student applications. The participants also exchanged perspectives and insights on international student recruitment strategies, in alignment with TBS’s internationalization policy.
In addition, Dr. Narong Kongpiwatana explored the possibility of organizing events at TBS specifically designed for international high school students.

We Have Officially Welcomed Exchange Students for Spring 2026!
We officially welcomed our incoming exchange students through an online orientation session, a warm welcome given by Asst.Prof.Dr.Kevalin Setthakorn,
Assistant Dean for Global Engagement, and introduced Thammasat Business School and the academic programs we offer, including BBA and GEMBA.
The session was enriched by student presenters from these programs, sharing firsthand academic and student-life experiences.
We were also honored to have Dr. Paphutsorn Wongratanapitak deliver a special session on “Thailand 101: Must-Known Facts & Simple Thai Phrases”, along with essential visa information, helping students prepare confidently for life in Thailand.
To complement the orientation on 10 January 2026, our exchange students later joined a one-day cultural trip to Suphan Buri, immersing themselves in local life at Ban Laem Suphan.
Activities included hands-on workshops making plates and bowls from water hyacinth, learning to prepare traditional Thai desserts, and engaging with local artisans; an authentic cultural experience beyond the classroom.
We look forward to a meaningful and memorable Spring 2026 together.

On December 29, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kevalin Setthakorn, Assistant Dean for Global Engagement, met with Ms. Aunica Youn, Associate Director of Enrollment, APAC (UFI Partnerships and Enrollment Team Lead), at Hult International Business School (United States) . Thammasat Business School (TBS) and Hult International Business School have established a partnership since last year.
During the meeting, both institutions discussed opportunities to further strengthen the collaboration across several initiatives, including the Summer Bootcamp and internship programs. As part of this partnership, Hult International Business School (United States) will offer scholarships and incentives to TBS students, comprising two Golden Tickets (valued at USD 4,000 / GBP 3,000 each) and five Hult Scholarships (valued at USD 2,500 / GBP 2,250 each). A formal announcement with further details will be disseminated to TBS students in due course.
In conclusion, the meeting reaffirmed the strong and growing partnership between Thammasat Business School and Hult International Business School, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding international learning opportunities and enhancing global exposure for students. Both institutions look forward to continued collaboration and the successful implementation of these initiatives in the near future.

Thammasat Business School (TBS) hosted a short academic and cultural program for students from HUTECH University of Technology, Vietnam.
The program featured academic sessions on management, international business, and corporate social responsibility, along with interactive activities fostering student exchange. Participants also enjoyed a cultural visit to Wat Arun and traditional Thai experiences.
The two-day program provided valuable academic insights, cultural exposure, and meaningful international engagement.

1. Hangzhou City University (China)
Formerly known as Hangzhou City College, Hangzhou City University (HZCU) is a public, applied-sciences–focused university located in Hangzhou’s AI hub. Both institutions explored opportunities for collaboration in internship programs.
2. Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Republic of Korea)
The discussion focused on the Korea–Thailand Academic and Industry Collaboration Program, as well as plans for a second academic roundtable and internship cooperation strategies.
3. Lingnan College, Sun Yat-sen University (China)
Both institutions explored potential collaboration on a dual degree program under the Digital Talents initiative.
The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening international collaboration, expanding academic and industry partnerships, and creating sustainable opportunities for student mobility, internships, and joint academic initiatives.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaturong Napathorn, Former Associate Dean for Research, Internationalization, and Accreditation, welcomed Prof. Brian Burfitt, along with students and staff from UNSW Business School, to Thammasat Business School. The program included a special lecture on Thailand’s Economy and Key Industries by Dr. Vasu Thirasak, providing insights into Thailand’s economic landscape and Thailand–Australia business relations, as well as cultural sessions on Thai language and traditional flower garland making. IBMP students also presented their student-led product, Waan JaiKhun, during the refreshment break.
The visit strengthened academic and cultural ties between Thammasat Business School and UNSW Business School and supported future collaboration.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaturong Napathorn, Former Associate Dean for Research, Internationalization, and Accreditation, extended a warm welcome to Assoc. Prof. Junpe Higuchi from the Department of Industrial Relations, along with a group of students from Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan.
The session focused on the evolution of Thailand’s HR and employment systems, including the development of the job-based system, employee retention and motivation, labor unions and industrial relations, as well as the evaluation and key challenges faced by Japanese companies operating in Thailand.
The visit provided a valuable platform for academic exchange and enhanced mutual understanding of Thailand’s labor landscape, supporting potential future collaboration and academic engagement between the two institutions.

Thammasat Business School (TBS) hosted a customized short program for the Toyota Wessels Institute for Manufacturing Studies (TWIMS), a graduate business school in South Africa.
Day one featured lectures on Thailand’s role in the global economy and the development of the automotive industry, delivered by TBS faculty, and concluded with closing remarks from the Associate Dean for Research, Internationalization, and Accreditation.
On day two, participants visited the CPF Nong Chok Ready-to-Eat Food Plant, gaining valuable insights into CPF’s operations and production processes.
The two-day program fostered knowledge exchange, cross-cultural learning, and strengthened academic ties between TBS and TWIMS.

The session began with warm opening remarks from Assoc.
